Default I'm bored

We just got another blizzard and there's about 10" of snow
on the ground - again. I'm getting cabin fever. Help.

We're buried in snow here, too.
I'm happy, though. It's very pretty. We scooped up a big pot full of snow
and made snowcones using sugar-free syrup. Mmmmm!
Plus this gives me extra time - I've gotten some housework done that I'd
been putting off, and I have some sewing projects I'd like to finish today.
I'm trying to avoid playing my DDR game until I'm done sewing. We'll see if
I can make it.
Oh! Plus, I made some strawberry soy muffins. I don't think they're quite
as good as the blueberry soy muffins. But it made the house smell all
yummy, and the only fruit I had on hand was strawberries, so that's what I
used. Hubby still thought they were great.

Relax! When was the last time you got to spend a Saturday at home? I can't
even think of how long it's been for me...

Yes, it's pretty, almost like a snowglobe. Just too damn
much of it so far this winter.

I thought about doing some housework - just long enough to
make that urge pass : )

You really like that game, huh? Okay, I'll bet you a
low-carb cyber cookie that you don't make it.

I don't like that "trapped" feeling. Sounds selfish, but I
want to be able to just pack up and go whenever the mood
strikes, not when the weather decides.

It's sunny here; the main problem is gusting winds. Seems like spring,
almost. Plant nurseries are selling roses and onion sets and seed potatoes
and people are planting spinach, sugar peas, collards, etc.

Not sure how much we've had here, it started last night and is still coming
down. I am quite happy staying in where it is cozy, though.

You're in Detroit, right? I'm just across the Michigan
border in Northwest Ohio. You got at least as much as we
did. Some friends were supposed to leave out of Detroit for
Miami today, but I believe Detroit cancelled all of its
flights. This was a particularly nasty nor'easter.

Yes, I am. I guess the East Coast is getting it even worse.

Good. Maybe my brother in Maryland will get it, too. A
while back, he told some of his friends that Northwest Ohio
never gets the "lake effect" snow because we're on the west
side of Lake Erie. Ha. Right after that was when we
started getting pounded.

I am so jealous. Although we had the first sprinkle of snow in
years, it wasn't nearly enough. I'm still thinking about that guy in
Reno that was was snow-blowing a pathway in 8 foot of snow. Now that
looks like fun.
