Default I'm bored.

This newsgroup is getting redundant. Yet, I'm addicted, I guess.

I'm aware of the contrary statistics, but I'm very certain that I have
learned enough to master my weight for life.

I would love to figure out how to export this from my brain to other
receptive brains. I find that my casting of pearls here has had limited
effect. I have one follower, that has been losing weight, but he/she is
finding their own tangents to follow.

I began writing my manifesto.

I've read sagas on the internet from folks who lost weight and think they
have something to teach about it. I don't want to be seen as just another
self-centered nut. My writing needs a hook.

The reality is:

Lots of people are overweight
Most overweight people know that it would be a good idea to lose weight
Most of these people know that losing weight means eating less and
exercising more
Most of these people take no action

People change from within, not from being preached at, ergo none of us can
effect change in other peoples' behaviour. Just be glad that you decided to
fix your problem, and try to get some value from bull****ting about it with
other like-minded folks.

:-))

What? You have no more research to do and present? Oh thats right I
proved your research wrong because I lived beyond your predicted 30 day
post op demise. Now your going to have to find another topic. No
really, I dont hold that against you. It was all pretty funny really.
Nice amusing reading if I do say so myself. J/K Awww come on. Dont ya
have a girl friend orporn collection ya know, something to keep ya
busy? Maybe you could wear a sandwich board and promote low carb and
collect groupies LOL Im sure one of them would have sex with you even!!
giggle Now that would keep you busy for what maybe 2 minutes evil

Yeah, wait a minute. Aren't manifestos written by, like, cult leaders
and psycho unibombers?

The best way to gain converts is not to try to convert anyone.

Or, just bring homemade low carb muffins to the office....

Can't bring one of those to the office just for fun - although I have
made them for office potlucks. You can't leave a cheesecake out on
your desk all day without risking poisoning someone!

Right. Diets are like religions, and cults.

My approach to dieting is radical from the perspective of mainstream dieting
of the last 20 years. For example, I recommend that dieters always eat
foods with the highest calorie density possible. I have never seen anyone
else recommend that. 20 years from now my writings may be seen as
prescient. However, today, it is a radical manifesto.
