Want to lose weight again
Hi folks, here's an update on me.
My bulimia had been going out of control and I decided not to count calories in an attempt to control it. It didn't work. I got worse, much worse. Finally I decided to tell my Mom about my purging and that helped me tremendously. I haven't purged in over a week now. I've just been eating normally and I've gained weight. My starting weight was 118.6 lbs. I got down to 108 lbs, now I'm back up to 113 lbs. I'm 4'11". I've decided I need to lose weight again. I need to make sure I don't binge or purge. I'm setting a 1200 kcal limit on my calories. I'm going to post what I eat everyday. I want to eat healthier, stop binging and purging and lose weight. I hope this is possible. I've been going to this pro-ana site and I think it made me worse. I'm going to stop visiting there and come here instead. I know you guys won't encourage me to lose weight by drastically cutting my calories. Drastic calorie cuts will only lead to binging for me, which leads to purging. |

Want to lose weight again
Sorry I didn't mean that I ate normally and gained 5 pounds. I binged
and purged my way to my 5 pound gain. I did more binging than purging. I think maintaining weight for me is going to be very difficult. I have to change the way I eat. I have to change my lifestyle. I'll probably have to count calories for a very long time, maybe indefinitately. |

I was wondering how you were doing. Honestly, when you post, I'm afraid to respond, because I feel you have an illness that I'm not equipped to handle. I'm afraid I'll say the wrong things, because I don't fully understand eating disorders. I only know my aunt died of bulimia. I want to be supportive, but I don't believe you are really in the right place here, since what you are dealing with is a MUCH greater issue than losing weight. Your issues are actually life-threatening. I hope that you find an answer that unlocks this for you. |

Thanks for you support everyone. Don't worry about writing the wrong
things. No one here can make me worse except for myself. Right now I mainly need to eat healthily. I'd been binging on junk food a lot. I just weighed myself this morning and found I'm 110.8 lbs. So I guess I didn't gain that much weight after all. I'm very relieved. It must have been fluctuations. If I can maintain this weight I wouldn't be too upset. It's a healthy weight. I find that posting what I eat really helps me. I had been doing that for 2 months before I started binging and purging and fell off the wagon. Thanks for your support. So far today I've been doing well. |

Concentrating on healthy eating might be just the thing you need to do instead of watching the scale. Don't measure your success by the numbers I know that's sometimes easier said than done. I've been guilty of the very same thing in the past. Now I concentrate on body fat, health indicators such as blood pressure, cholesterol counts, etc. You probably don't worry too much about those things at your age but they do become important as you grow olderg Instead of a weight goal I find myself setting goals in my exercise routines.
