Default Exercise? When? How much?

: Time will tell.

Time has already told. Nobody knows Jane's body better than Jane. I don't
understand how you can argue with Jane over what works best for Jane's body.

: What proven benefits are you speaking? Studies show that a 30-45
: minute brisk walking regimen 5-6 times weekly will give you all the
: aerobic workout you need for improving and maintaining
: cardiorespiratory health.

The proven benefits that Jane has experienced in herself. Jane apparently
wasn't in any of the "studies" that you mention. "Studies" are based on
numbers of criteria on numbers of people. Jane is an individual who is
perfectly capable of basing valid conclusions on observations she makes of
herself.

How do you know what Jane needs to improve and maintain her
cardiorespiratory health? You are assuming that Jane is typical of the
study participants, and she may not be. If I had to choose who I believe --
the "study" or Jane's observations about herself -- Jane wins the
credibility contest hands down.

In my opinion, scientific studies are no substitute for knowing what works
best for your own body.
