The Smart Nutrition in Glucerna Cereal

a.. Contains chromium picolinate to help your body’s own insulin work
better
b.. Excellent source of fiber and 5 grams of whole grains
c.. Contains no saturated fat and no trans fats "
Supposedly, Albertson's has it. I'll get a box of the almond flakes one and
see what it's like.

I was skeptical, because most Glucerna products are awful for diabetics,
full of carbs and low in fat.

Glucerna = poison to a DM.

Susan

And a "DM" is what, exactly?

Label information does get changed from time to time. I see this quite
often across a range of products.

And either way, it's still too high.

The listing you posted is not for the Glucerna crunchy flakes and almonds
cereal. I went to Albertson's and got a box of it. You listed 10 gm of sugar
per 3/4 cup serving; they list 6 gm. You listed 28 gm of carbs, they listed
24 with dietary fiber as 5 g.

Pat, I copied the information from their web site. I don't recall the
flavor, though.

Susan

Yeah, it comes in 3 flavors. IIRC, the flavor listed on the website was the
one with raisins...Another one has strawberries.

This reminds me: my grocery store just started carrying almond
crackers and other kinds of nut crackers. I forget the brand, but I
was excited at first until I looked at the label and saw they're
pretty high in carbs. I think you can get whole-grain crackers that
are lower, but I suppose these could be useful for someone with poor
grain tolerance. I'll have to look again and read the ingredients.

I think you're right over the long haul, and I know you've been at it
for years.

A little variety makes for a more interesting life for me.

Nothing wrong
with an occasional LC treat or a bowl of LC cereal now & then.
