Yup, looks like he probably found the FAQ and glanced at it at least.
I got curious (as I do whenever someone draws undue attention to
themself) and found out he's a wart on the buttocks of sci.physics
named Mike Varney. He disappeared from that group back in May and
when he returned he was using a pseudonym.

Yes. We were waiting for him to do exactly that. You don't think
someone with such an obsessive/sick nature could stay off the internet
forever right? :-)

He wanted to remain
unrecognized. That is no longer a valid possibility. ;-)

Take care,
Carmen

Yup. He's now back polluting sci.physics. It was obvious that it was
him when he became so obsessed with me. He sure is a sick person. He
left sci.physics because he became obsessed with me. He has a rather
weak personality and became intimidated by me. He found that he had to
keep flaming me so that he would feel less intimidated (or some other
similar sick reason). Others and myself informed his employer/school,
since he was using their resources to pollute the internet.

I see that he's a pest at other newsgroups huh? It sure didn't take
long for his acidic nature to come through did it?

Thanks for confirming what I suspected Carmen

Well.. I guess your vague assertions that iron would at most cause
constipation makes you the resident expert on the topic.
And as for Roos, whomever that is, I think you have me confused with
that person.
Perhaps you could explain the part iron plays in heart attacks, to
name but one aspect of the potential problems?

Use your newfound google skill and read up on it, rather than simply
bloviate.

Congratulations.

Note that the '*smirk*' is varney's trade mark.

I was reading in the Atkins book that you shouldn't take a supplement
with Iron in it. Why is this?

There are a small number of nutrients that are stored in the body so
it is possible to OD on them. Iron is one. Because iron is needed
for hemoglobin and because women menstruate, the body evolved kidneys
that pull iron back into the blood hoarding it. Folks who eat red
meat will already have plenty of iron.

Just for fun, vitamins A, D, E and K are fat soluble and can also be
ODed on. Artic explorers who took dog sleds trying to get to the
north pole often died of vitamin A or D poisoning. Their dogs would
die of cold one by one, they would eat the dogs to stretch out their
food supplies, they would eat the livers and die. Dogs livers
concentrate vitamins A and D to levels toxic to humans.

So I gave blood last week. The phobotomist mentioned that most men
should indeed donate blood regularly just to get rid of the extra
iron. Not the best salesmanship job I've ever been given, but it must
have worked because there I was hooked up to a plastic bag ...

He does seem to have quite a fixation as far as you're concerned. :-)
As for his participation in ASDLC as long as he generally behaves
himself he'll be fine. He'll only get in trouble when he gets puffed
up and starts to act as if he's superior to everyone else. The
"Star-Bellied Sneetch" attitude doesn't win hearts and minds. ;-)

Take care,
Carmen

Yep. He's obsessed alright!

As for his participation in ASDLC as long as he generally behaves
himself he'll be fine.

Does he behave? Does he keep it here? He actually stalked me around
the internet. I go to a cancer support board and he stalked me there
and tried to convince my friends there that they shouldn't like me. He
seems to have a screw loose. He even found my telephone number and
called me at my house when he was drunk.

He'll only get in trouble when he gets puffed
up and starts to act as if he's superior to everyone else.

I can't imagine him posting with any other attitude since he truly
believes that he's better than everyone else. He has what I call a
"superiority complex" :-)

I'm amazed that he think that it will get him somewhere.

Thanks
