Not really. It's more like beer AND pizza.

that's for sure, I know for me personally, complex carbs are the worse carbs
I can have....I do better with veggies and fruits. No potatoes, corn or peas either. But it's like I keep saying, one just really has to know their own body and how it responds to whatever you're eating. Me, too. Most fruits (though not all) and all vegetables appear to agree
with my blood sugar, though not necessarily with my digestive tract. I avoid potatoes, bread, etc. I do have corn and peas, every once in a great while. I struggle with popcorn still............just have to have alittle (alittle
is all my small pouch can handle now) once in a while.........do you have trouble with pineapple too? Man, that and bananas send my blood sugars upwards in a hurry..........even straight sugar doesn't send my blood sugar over 120 though. I like raw sugar and was using it but found a great sugar substitute that tastes great so I've been using that for anything that I like sweetened, like my herbal tea or sprinkled over sliced fruit and nuked for a minute or to. It's great over slices peaches, btw..........such a great treat too:-) Carol J "Bob in CT" wrote in message news Me, too. I do have popcorn, and it's not that bad for me. Bananas aren't great,
and I don't have enough pineapple to know, but I'd hazard a guess that it wouldn't be too good for blood sugar. Yeah, the glycemic index of sugar isn't really that high, which may be that it takes a little while to break into glucose and fructose. Which sugar substitute are you using? I'm using that Swerve that I was talking about in here a few weeks ago. I
really like it. Not available anywhere in town here but an Organic Cafe called Vitality Juice Cafe downtown. I love their berry blasts that they make with it. 24 oz of smoothie and it has 150 calories, 30 grams of protein, 5 grams of carbs, 2 grams of fat. they have a java jolt that tastes like the frozen thing at Starbucks too which is comparable in the nutrition of the berry blast. They are a franchise that is around the country, here is their website: http://www.vitalityjuice.com/ I got the nutritional information from a handout at the cafe here though, I notice that on the website, they give different amounts. maybe it's a good thing that I have not posted for awhile - if this is the
response that I am going to get why should I (or anyone) want to join this group? for the record - I don't drink beer and I don't eat pizza (I make the pizza for someone else in the house who is also trying the lowcarb wol) thank you though for letting everyone else hear how you yourself got fat. -- Ellyn M.
