I have no meat o9ut of the freezer and the store is closed, so I made
these. They are so good and very satiating:

Clean and boil the sprouts 5-10 minutes.
Add salt and stir-fry in butter for a couple of minutes on a pan.

Try making a low carb sweet and sour sauce and cook the sprouts until they
are tender crisp and serve cold as a salad.
And another recipe is to cook the sprouts until tender crisp and garte
cheddar cheese on top and melt the cheese and eat.

Nononono. First, find fresh brussel sprouts that are no
bigger than pingpong balls. Next, check for firmness,
deep colour, and leaves tightly clasped to the sprout.
Then, take them home, no more that a day or two before
you are going to eat them, and store them unwashed in
the fridge. When ready to start cooking your vegs,
prepare the sprouts by washing. Remove any leaves that
may be showing signs of decay. Cut an X in the base of
each sprout. Place the sprouts in cold salted water in
a pot with a close fitting lid. If you are serving boiled
& mashed potatoes, use them as a timing guide. When the
potatoes are half boiled, turn the burner under the sprouts
on. Watching carefully, when the water with the sprouts
comes to a boil, turn off the burner, cover the pot, & let
the sprouts sit in the hot water while you dish up the rest
of your vegs. The sprouts should be the last item placed
on the table before eating. Drain the sprouts, put them in
a bowl, and throw lumps of butter on top of them, and then
consume them with great happiness.

April.
Put out the cat.

Brussel sprouts are delicious if you get them fresh. The store bought ones
are disgusting. I've grown them in the garden before. They are very easy to
grow, and one or two plants will give a lot of sprouts. The first year I
made the mistake of having 8 plants in the garden because I had no clue how
many sprouts one plant would produce. I couldn't give them all away.

I like them deep fried. Poke a slice of garlic inside, skewer with
a fondue fork, immerse in hot oil until done. Dust with some finely
powdered spice.
