Default Nighttime munchies?

Hi Everyone-

Looking for some help with some eating habit stuff. Late in the evening, I
get REALLY hungry and I snack on some things that are not exactly optimum
for the WW plan. Does/did anyone else idly snack around 9:00pm? If you
did, how did you change your habits and/or modify your choices to keep to
the plan?

Thanks,
Matt

I have the same issues...I use my 35 flex points for snacks...4 points per
night...I use WW ice cream bars or popcorn or anything in the 2 point
range...I try and drink water which seems to negate the munchies...I know my
head is saying "well there is nothing else to do now so EAT"...It is these
urges I need to control...The battle continues...Not sure I'll ever have it
completely licked but I certainly will try...Go for the better choices and
plan ahead...Don't be left with a half gallon of your favorite ice
cream...Good luck...GG

I'm on my own modified low-carb WW plan (and it's working). I have my apple
around 9 PM when the night munchies hit. I quarter it and enjoy every bite.
We get the ones called Golden Delicious. They're the sweetest. Keep them
in the fridge to keep from getting mealy. Other nights I'll make a plate of
raw goodies which includes sliced cucumber, mushrooms, celery etc. I don't
use any dressings since I despise vinegar. But there are low-cal dressings
available.

Celery sticks stuffed with fat-free cream cheese gets me by in a pinch. ;-)

I eat 5-6 times a day, small meals each time. If I'm hungry late and I
can't just go to bed I'll grab a yogurt with some Fiber One cereal (1-2
points), fruit, or some Wasa rye crackers with a slice of turkey and a
shmear of goat cheese (1T=25 cal). We do keep some WW ice cream bars in the
freezer and I'll eat maybe one a week. They're mostly for DH. I also like
to whip up some ff/sf jell-o pudding and keep that handy.

I used to have a T of natural peanut butter with an apple or something but
PB is DH's downfall and he goes nuts on it (pun intended) so we don't keep
it in the house.

I do WW desserts or fruit, but
try not to after 8pm. The frozen
fudge pop is quite large, and only
1 pt. You could have it w/ 1/2 TB
natural PB & 1 TB good quality
choc. chips - soften the pop
a bit, and make it like a mix-in
kind of treat. Mmmm!

I also brush my teeth right after, somehow,
that makes me not want to put anything
else in my mouth.

Hey ya'll,
I have the most horrible night time munchies as well! I am really new to better eating but I have found that if I drink a slimfast or the store brand of it, it knocks that sweet yummys right down the drain. There are several different types of slimfast drinks so look and decide which one is best for you. We keep the snack ones around the house, but we have a friend that is sold on one for breakfast and one for lunch so she uses the carb opt. I hope you find what works for you!!! I would love to hear what it is.

I have water or something to drink and see if it passes, if it does not then
I have something low point to tide me over. Most times, it is my thirst
that is yelling, not hunger, but it masks itself as hunger. I have found
when I am wanting something and don't know what it is, I should have some
water and most times that satisfies me just fine.
