Interesting. Sounds like it is worth a try. Where do you find it? Is it on the regular candy aisle, or with the diet foods? I've always seen it in the regular candy aisle. I've only had it two or three times. Once I bought a bag and found myself wanting the whole thing after a few pieces so I threw it out. I tend toward the small, low carb candy bars that are already in a single serving size and also sugar free. Jenn |

When I want chocolate, I'll have it less often and get the good stuff. I'll just have less amounts, less often. If/when I see the Ghiardelli chocolates sold as singles I occasionally indulge. They don't sell them up here like that which is a darn good thing because I'd end up going nuts sometimes. Jenn |

I make a point to bite each piece in half and savor each half, letting it slowly melt in my mouth instead of chewing it up quickly and swallowing it. I keep the bag in one of those hanging three wire basket sets in the middle basket which hangs over my head but not quite out of my reach. So I have to make a bit of an effort to get to it. It makes me think about my consumption of the goody. I don't even have it everyday but when I need a fix, it's there. Tonia |

Table 3. Hit List of Weight-Gaining Behaviors from Dr. Phil's book

Sorry T, in my books, money grubbing Dr. Phil is the bad choice. he has now crowned himself king of the diet community when i would give the You come across as a very bitter person where Dr. Phil is concerned. How can you condemn a person that's helping so many people? The last time I looked this was a support group. You make it very unpleasant. Goodbye. *PLONK* Well you won't be reading this but you really should plonk the guy that posted the page of all his references to Dr. Phil and his predictions of what Dr. Phil would come up with. I don't resent Phil McGraw any more than all the others who have tried to capitilize on we poor souls that struggle a lifetime with obesity. I think ASD even though, the advice varies widely, is more of a help to me because all those diet guys seem to ride on waves of trends. At least on ASD we have a dialogue and analyze our objections or support of each others ideas. We clear up misconceptions, give encouragement and tell the truth as we see it. And all for just the monthly ISP fee, plus we get to use our computers for a variety of other things. I don't think Dr. Phil beats little children or deals drugs. He just doesn't capture my interest. Maybe it's a question of "style." Now I saw Dr, Atkins on TV several times and although he was no fireball personality wise, he knew his stuff and I respected that. I don't say that because I am a follower of the Atkins Diet because I am not on it. But being here since 1996 I've seen many great results and really enjoyed periodic visits to alt. support.diet.low-carb. As to being bitter, I may be a critical person, but certainly not bitter. My only regret is not having lost the weight earlier in life to have enjoyed the benefits longer. I'm glad you plonked me if I irritate you as people should seek pleasure, not annoyance if they want to get ahead with things. -- Diva ****** There is no substitute for the right food |

Table 3. Hit List of Weight-Gaining Behaviors from Dr. Phil's...
Tonia said this so well !! with needing to really THINK about the choc.
plus savering every bite is a way of being 'in control' and responcible! I also 'need' a little 'fix' but I don't do this until I need it badly! Also with SF ice cream which I S-L-O-W-L-Y eat from measured amount. I am IN CONTROL and I WANT my control. Choc CAN be a dangerous food (for me) so I am sure to deeply think about each bite! UMMMM LUV that choc! glo |
