Do any of you ever buy a special "goal outfit"? Today I purchased a
really amazing red dress. It fits...but it doesn't look really
great...yet. I think it'll be fabulous in about 10 more pounds. I work
well with small goals. So my newest goal is to be able to surprise my
husband with my new hot momma red dress for our anniversary Jan 16. I
love this dress to I am hoping that this goal will help me get through
the holidays. I am doing great so far! 44 lbs! I was a size 24 when I
started. I am curently an 18 and the dress I bought is a 16. I can't
believe I purchased a size 16!

When I hit goal I want to buy a really nice Italian suit. I mean,
one that'll make me look like a million bucks. And one that I'll
be able to button the suit jacket on!

Yeah, sometimes I'll get clothes that are a bit too snug and wait until I
shrink into them. Usually it's something at a thrift store or Wal-mart,
because you know if you go back the next month it'll be gone, so grab it
now even if it doesn't fit yet. I did that with the pleather pants, needed
to lose about 5 pounds for them to fit, which I did, and I only got to wear
them once before the weather warmed up again, and now it's cold again and
they're too big. (

I was with the wife shopping for men's spectator shoes and found a great
Lavender Pinstripe suit that is 2 sizes to small to fit well. I bought it
and WILL WEAR it for Easter Sunday. Now I just need to find a great looking
pair of shoes to go with it.
Man I sound like a chick.....

I have 2 sun dresses that are both size 12. They were stuffed in a
box until I discovered LC. I dug 'em out a few days ago and hung them
up in my closet. I think that when I can fit into them it will
probably feel naked since I NEVER wear dresses. My mother offered to
buy a few pairs of size 20 blue jeans for me, for encouragement. I
then told her that I already had about 10 pairs of size 20 jeans in a
suitcase in her basement!...lol 3 years ago I had lost about 30lbs
doing the regular, "eat right and exercise", routine. Of course, I
didn't keep it off.

looking forward to finally enjoying shopping,

Great Idea, I just bought some 34" jeans today as a project to see if I can
eventually fit into them!
Great thing is, it doesn't matter if I get there as I'm happy with my weight
now! ;-)

My kids bought me a 'Tank Girl' t-shirt at Hot Topic - I think it's a
M, so I'm working towards that

I have a little halter top type sundress that was given to me at my wedding
shower. I was about 180 lbs when I got married, and it was too small, couldn't
get those darn buttons together. In my days on Phen/Fen, when I reached my low
weight of 165, I still couldn't fit into that dress, so I have NEVER worn it.
I couldn't bring myself to give away something I had never worn. My 10 year
anniversary is coming next April, I may not be in that dress by then, but it is
my goal dress and I would like to be in it sometime in 2004.

Funny how we have those special things we save that we just HAVE to fit one
day.
