Faux Fries
I've been experimenting tonight and wanted to share the results.
Deep fried cauliflower bits. Not breaded. Since the Belgians eat their fries with mayonnaise.... I made a curry mayo. Not bad. I plan to try pesto mayo, buffalo mayo, Italian herb mayo, salsa mayo, any other ideas? Alex |

So....could one use one of those....ah...what do you call
them....ah....things for putting icing on a cake...where you make icing come out in lines....could you use one of those to make the cauliflower look like french fries -- I'd assume, based on your comments, that these would hold together...did you make yours look like french fries (you said 'bits' so that has me wondering)... My hope is if you can get it to a hot surface (in hot oil or in a oven on a pan) in the right shape, and let the cooking process start, then the crusty outside surface would hold it together. Perhaps but I'm clueless. I might try it depending on what OP has said.. |
