Default REC: Chili Lemonade Rub for Chicken/Pork etc

I got this recipe out of Steven Raichlen's "Barbecue! Bible : Sauces,
Rubs, and Marinades, Bastes, Butters, and Glazes" and simplified/LC'd
it. I made it as a rub for a Beer Can Chicken (in the oven) and am glad
I have leftovers.

1/3rd cup Artifical Sweetener of your Choice (I used brown sugar twin)
2 tsp SF Lemonade mix (I used Kool Aid)
3 tsp powdered chile pepper (not chili powder, I used Chipotle)
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 Tbsp ground black pepper

whisk together in a bowl, use as a rub on whatever you would use a
normal BBQ rub on (ie pretty much everything you would grill)

Hollywood, back to LC stuff

Sounds good for ribs. Thanks.

Hmmm, very interesting use for Kool Aid. I may not try this particular
recipe, but I'm thinking maybe a cherry-flavoured rub for pork loin roast
might be good. :-)

Oo! There's an idea! Do they do a plum-flavoured Kool Aid? Or maybe a mango
one?

Nicky.

Not that I've ever seen, but if you still have some Carb Options peach
drink that would be good. And it's already pre-sweetened. Kool Aid does
have an unsweetened grape flavour that might work too.

Want to be clear here.

The 2 tsp powder is based on the SF (pre-sweetened) Kool-Aid Lemonade,
not the unsweetened, which is a lot lighter in volume and therefore
intense in flavor. I do not use it, so I cannot suggest measurements.
