What specifically are you interested in? ARe you trying to gain weight or
lose fat? Since you are weight training already, are you having some
problems after 9 months?

It's not the only way, but it's defintely the most efficient way. In
the most simplistic terms, you need to overeat and lift to gain muscle
(but fat comes along with it) and undereat to lose fat (but muscles
goes along with it). One generally cannot do both at the same time,
as you can't overeat and underseat simultaneously. However, there are
ways to "dodge" this particular bullet:

1. Newbies can generally lose fat and gain muscle. It hasn't been
figured out as to exactly why, but probably has something to do with
nutrient partioning.

2. The genetically gifted. You can't do much about this.

3. Doing a CKD or TKD type diet where you work in cycles. Youd do
best to check out the FAQ for this group for info on these. The FAQ
is posted daily, but both diets have you taking in carbs based around
your training.

You other option is what is commonly known as "bulking" - you
intentionally overconsume and lif to gain muscle. However, if you're
not at a low bodyfat percentage, there's not much sense in doing so,
as you'll just end up overfat, then you'll have to cut down (ie diet)
and then lose your muscle gains.

I'd get a good handle on what your current body fat percentage is
now. Read up on CKD and TKD and try one. You might also try looking
into Lyle McDonald "ULtimate Diet 2.0" which combines HST
(Hyppertrophy Specific Training) with diet for excellent results.

Also may want to read a section from Pearsons "Life Extension, A Scientific
Approach". Alot of good info can be obtained there which I have used in
the 90's for amateur class powerlifting. Plus good info on weight control.
He was definitely ahead of his time.
