Default Looking for a WW leader

I have posted my store in general topics I would appreciate if a leader would
go in a read it its titled "Been here a month it's time to tell my story!"

Please let me know why WW is doing this. I really like the program but I just
can't go to the meetings I find them a waste of time and money now. So I back
on it at home alone.

Lori

Lori, most of us are reading this via a usenet group
(alt.support.diet.weigh****chers), not through your forums. I don't
know how to access the post you refer to in "General topics". Can you
repost it here, or post a URL to the forum itself?

Here you go I copied it over.

Oct 2001 is when I decided to loose weight I was at my heaviest of 262 I'm
5'2. I joined WW and did really well I lost 67 pd in 1 year. Slow maybe for
some but I was satisfied and never felt deprived. I was down to 195 and
feeling great. Our leader quit and they let a girl who weighed 300 pds take
it over. Everyweek was a bad week for her and she was actually gaining. I
found I had gained back 5 pds in a 4 mth period while attending WW this was
around feb 2003. So I decided to quit and do it WW on my own. Well I did
loose the 5 pds I had gained and another 5. But it took me till Oct 2003.

In Feb I got transferred to another location with my job we didn't have to
move or anything it wasn't but 15 miles further. Its just that I loved it
were I was but I was given a choose. I hadnt the new job. I'm a strong person
and a woman who speaks her mind. My old boss encouraged me to share idea's
that would improve business my new boss was one of those men who didn't think
a woman could ever do a job better than him so your ideas was not encouraged
I tried to stay one but I was gaining weight back not much about 10 pds and I
had quit exercising I was miserable.

Then on Oct 2003 My dad died and everything went down hill from there. He
left no will and 3 kids and a step mom who won't let us even step on our home
ground. He had a business, farm, and cattle long before she came along. And
now she has us tied up in court. I took the rest of the week off and a funny
story now but not then happened. When I went back on monday I had only fixed
one side of my hair and only had makeup on one side of my face. Of course it
was notice quickly and my friend brought it to my attention. So I just went
to the bathroom pulled my hair back in a pony tail and washed my face. (lol)

Jan 2004 I got offered a job with H & R block. and I ran to it. But by now I
had gained back to 242. So in Oct 2004 I decided to try joining curves if I
was pay for a gym maybe I would go. Well I lost inches and some weight . So
April 15 is my last day of work for the year and that was when I decided to
try WW on my own again. I had lost back down to 218 As of Aug 1 and came to a
stop I didn't loose all of aug. But this month I have started loosing again
it looks like 6 pds but I take my curves weigh ins and measurements as my
monthly official weight.

I have contacted the WW headquarters and the same 330 pd lady is still the
leader. They said no one else would do it. They told me if I can succeed this
time in getting to my goal they would be interested in talking to me . So
this time I'm trying to loose for myself and all the other women who need a
new leader. We use to have 45 to 60 people in our WW group. They have 6 now.

Thanks for listening and the support.

I had a similiar experience with the WW @Work program. "Donna" was the
leader that started this group and I lost alot of weight under her care,
cheerleading, and encouragement. I looked forward to going each week as a
hightlight. When she was offered a higher paying job, she left(I can
understand that) and we were given a WW-robot lady. Ya know, the kind that
walks in, gives that fakey half smile(I actually believe most full fakey
smiles), and she couldn't get anyone to interact(when I did, you thought I'd
run over her) and half the time we would have to ask for our stars because
she would forget to pass them out.

Hey, when you work so hard to earn them and are used to a big deal being
made for 5 pounds, that habit doesn't go away easily. So I stopped going and
just let WW have the rest of my weeks $$. I called them with my opinions of
this robo-WWlady and never received a response. It wasn't worth the trudgery
of taking a lunch just to be patronized with a temporary robo-leader.

So, I continue my WW journey at home....

I agree, but then.. a leader that does not fit you might be just what
somebody else need..

My favorite leader is a very laid back, quiet lady... I'm a stress puppy
that jumps everywhere..

Some love it.. some find me incredibly annoying.. *grin*

Point being.. go see for yourself.. if it fits you good.. if not look around
! Something for everybody...

since members went from 45 to 60 down to 6 I think there is problem. Also she
weighs 275 to 300 pds didnt ever loose any while I was there. If she lost a
couple pds one week the next she would gain ba 3 or 4. How can you inspire
anyone else when you cant even inspire yourself.

That's why I love my current leader. She is one of us, not someone who
has lost the weight and then found it easy to maintain. She shares
stories of her struggles and we can all relate to them. Her meetings
are packed.
