Default Sushi Rolls

I have been eating lots of Sushi Rolls thinking they are healthy for you.
But I am on a diet.
Anyway I just found out that Sushi rolls have lots of sugur in them to make
the rice stick, so now I have found out they are very high calorie because
of the sugur, is this true ?

According to the sushi recipes I have seen there is not sugar in the rice.
Some vinegar maybe but no sugar.

Your post sounds kind of random - what "diet" are you on?

Sushi usually contains a small amount of sugar. According to WW, two
pieces one point.

There's a small amount of sugar in sushi rice, but it's not that
important.

But rice is very high calorie and high carb, like bread. It's not that
it's unhealthy, but a little bit goes a long way, and if you don't eat
enough protein and fat to go with it, it tends to overwhelm your system
and keep you hungry (high blood sugar).

A typical sushi meal of 10-12 pieces could have as much as 1 1/2 cups of
cooked rice, which is something like 12 points from the rice alone.
Then you have to accont for the fish (and anything else) as well. If
you tend to pig out like I used to, it's worse.

I'm a huge sushi fan, but I've taken to eating mostly sashimi, and maybe
one roll or a couple pieces of sushi.

I also like chirashi, which is sashimi over a bed of rice, and I only
eat 1/4 of the rice or so.
