Besides, how does one convolute that which is {apparently} already convoluted beyond measure? It's seriously worse than a televised soap opera. You almost need a flowchart to keep the players straight. And be sure it's written in pencil because the "sides" can change pretty rapidly. I got Taubes book today so maybe I'll spend some time with that instead of watching the Kimmer fiasco. I'll be interested to see what you think of it. I haven't ordered it myself -- though I'm quite the bookworm. I'm thinking it might just be more technical than what I'm interested in right now. I just logged onto my local public library's web site and put my name on the list for it. If it looks like something I'd want to refer to, then I'll order it from Amazon. -- "[xxx] has very definite opinions, and does not suffer fools lightly. If it looks like something I'd want to refer to, then I'll order it from Amazon. It's almost a reference work; definitely not light reading. Somewhat dry, but quite readable if you're interested in the subject, in my opinion. I'm not quite 200 pages in, and I've already tagged a lot of spots to come back to later. I don't want to sound like too much of a fan-boy, but I'd buy this book for everyone I know if I thought they'd read it. -- Aaron -- 285/254/200 -- aaron.baugher.biz |
