I'm Dustin. I've been lurking for about 7 years with occasional bouts
of good activity. :-) I wrote the points calculator for the desktop
that use to get passed around. I probably haven't posted for 2 years
but I lurk a lot. Seen a lot of people come and go. I know a lot of
you by name although so many of you probably have no idea who I am since
I have been quiet for a very long time.

There was another Dustin for a while, that wasn't me. I'm not currently
on program, haven't been for a long time but continue to lurk because it
keeps me in check. Have officially been on program 3 times, 2 of those
3 were quite successful. I'm currently in a self induced pity slump,
have been for quite some time, but I never give up hope.

There are a few names around that I know have been around since I
started with the group way back when. So many have come and gone
though, kinda sad in a way. We've even lost one or two friends who have
moved on to the other side (you decided what the other side is).

Anyway, saw the introduction thread and thought I'd rear my ugly head
for a post. :-) I dunno, maybe I'll delurk more often. Guess it
depends on the mood.

There have been a LOT of new comers the past few weeks. Welcome to you
all, you won't regret it. If you stick around you'll get to know some
great people and you'll be sad when they disappear. There have been
some interesting characters on here over the years.

28, married, 2 crazy kids (2 & 4 year old boys), Utah.

Well, that's who I am. Have not introduced myself for a loooong time.

Dustin

Stay in the light! You have too much to offer after all that time to
stay lurking in the dark there...

Well, I'm definitely one of those new people. I've been here about 8
or 9 weeks now. My name's Bazooka-Joe. I've had that nickname and
handle since the 6th grade. This Wednesday will be my eighth-week
weigh-in.

starting weight: 232.2

goal weight: ~165, but my real goal is a 32" waiste.

current weight: Well...I skipped my week 7 weigh-in because I was on
vacation. I was 212.2 at week 6, but I think I'm around 208 right now,
which means I'll probably hit my 10% mark at next weigh-in.

Great idea Lee, not corny at all!

My name is Joyce, I am also in IL - 30 miles west of Chicago. I live
with DH, am trying hard to adjust to empty nesting while learning to
cook for 2 again. I am 48 yrs old, have 3 children and 2
grandchildren ... ages are 31 (female - stepdaughter for those doing
the math - lol) , 21 (male) , 18 (female), grandchildren 5 (male) and
2 (female).

I began WW on Feb.5, 2002. I use the online program, have never
entered a store front or attended meetings. I reached my WW goal of
150 on Feb. 2, 2003, my all time low of 129.5 sometime in August of
03. As life stresses got the best of me, I gave up on myself. On
Feb. 7, 2006, I once again recommitted to WW and began to take
control of my life back.

starting weight in 2002: 228.7
starting weight in 2006: 176.7
WW goal: 150
personal goal: 140ish (I'm sure some here remember me and my "ish")
Lowest weight: 129.5 (not going back there, not reasonable for me)
current weight: 168.3

No firm mini goals yet, every ounce down is a mini goal for me right
now.

Joyce

Joyce

I have one that returned to the nest but it is still hard not to cook
for a big family. This week I am going to try three new recipes from
the WW stir fry book. My baby is at home for spring break and most of
the recipes are for four. My husband likes to shop and I have had a
hard time retraining him that we don't need as much fish, chicken, beef
etc. as we did when we were a family of five at home.

My lowest weight is also not reasonable for me. I need a weight where I
feel comfortable, my waistband is loose and I am not self-conscious
about the way my clothes fit. The WW goal is 159 but as mentioned in a
previous post, I will feel better closer to 155.

Not corny at all. I've been lurking off and on for a long time. I got brave
enough to post recently. I live in Virginia and have been going to meetings
for two weeks. It's nice to see the variety of people here
