First use of Sweetzfree
Based on recommendations from this group, I bought some SweetzFree. Baked up
a cheesecake as the first use. Used Myra's recipe, except I mixed in some thawed raspberries (all berries, nothing else added). Samples while mixing everything together told me that it was going to be good. Had my first slice last night, and it was wonderful! Light texture, plenty of flavor, really good. Thanks to all who recommended this product. Don't know if this is related to the SweetzFree, the raspberries, or is just coincidence - this is the first time my cheesecake baked up without cracking. It didn't rise up as much as usual, but what rising did take place stayed intact with no cracking at all. I don't use a water bath - yes I know that is supposed to reduce/prevent cracking. I'm not serving this in a restaurant, so I don't really care about the aesthetics from cracking or not. I just thought it was interesting, and wondered if this has happened to anybody else. |
