Seems that once again my seeking support post has been hijacked. I
give up. I'll be very inactive from now on.

Good Luck to all!

Richard, are all of the posts showing up on your server? I know that I
have responded to them and would continue to do so as have many here. If
your post has been hijacked by the resident troll who goes under the
name of George all I can do is apologize for the rude immature behavior
of an individual we do not know who obviously has issues with WW and
cannot find better things to do with his time.

Richard!!!!!!!! come on man!........you got a few reply posts and there are
still several regulars that haven't shown up in the NG yet! You're not
giving people a chance!

And besides- your posting is about the Wendie Plan so some people won't even
read it if they are not interested. If I hadn't read it, I wouldn't have
realized that you had a good week either.

Why didn't you write in the subject line - Wendie Plan works for me again at
this week's WI ?

Then I'd bet that everyone would support you and reply..

I don't think you're being fair mate. Please try to see the other side of
the coin before you decide to throw in the towel - OK ?

No .. I never see any posts by George. I long ago filtered him out.
Actually it was Laura who turned my post into an exercise thread.
Once that happened it was over for support. Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for the reply Eddie. I tried to disguise my post slightly in
the hope more people would read it and respond. Laura should have
started her own thread about exercise instead of turning mine into
one.

Now that I have burnt by bridges there is no reason for me to stick
around anymore.

Thanks for everything.........

Yikes! I'm really sorry if I didn't follow the newsgroup etiquette.
And I certainly didn't mean to offend you in any way. I view as an
opening in a conversation. The way the wendie plan worked reminded me
of interval training. Maybe I should've started a new thread.

Sorry.

I even screwed up a sentence above. I meant to say that "I view a
newsgroup posting as an opening in a conversation."

By the way...I think by the fact that anyone constructive responds to a
posting, it shows support.

Richard - please don't leave. I don't think you've burnt or been burnt - I
don't think Laura's posting was a deliberate attempt to hijack your original
post.

I guess I'm guilty too for responding to Laura's message. Sorry Richard -
but I'd still like to see you stay.

Eddie

Honestly, I'd never even heard the term "hijacking a post" until now.
I didn't even know I was out of line. Just trying to interact with the
group. Thanks, Eddie, for trying to see both sides.

Richard, it's just 'thread drift' - your post may spark three or four
sub-threads: don't sweat about it. Along with them will be several
answers more pertinent to your original post.

I view thread drift as fun: really, if a thread drifts too far from the
original topic, one should re-name it, but that sometimes goes by the
board in the heat of the moment. I belong to one group where the
content of the posts rarely has anything to do with the name of the
group (in fact, posting about the topic of the group can be frowned
on!), and people seem to have mild competitions to see how far they can
get the threads to fray and drift and still be connected to the original
post. It's fun. Don't let it worry you.

I've never tried Wendy: I'm a bit scared to stray from something that
has worked so well for me so far - if rather slowly! If Wendy's working
for you, good: try it again when you get stuck. Meanwhile, relax
and have fun with thread drift!
