Default Total carb for Ham and Cheese Omelette

Quite frankly it was amazing to me to discover that even with
my vast searching skills, I could not find JUST ONE!!
site that could tell me what a typical, restaurant served,
three egg/cheeder/ham omelette was in Carb value.

You know what they need? A counter that does MEALS.
All the Atkins ones, I've bought all his books never, ever
put in something so simple like 'omelettes'
Try to find it, you won't.

SO can someone PLEASE!! tell me what the *ell a
one of those omelettes has in carbs?
I'm going to say about 2 carbs, maybe 3.
That's via the tedious task of counting every single
item in the damn thing.
So much for technology, weight centers and doctors.
....Why do so many make it so complicated?

I do appreciate a response from someone!!!

Tks,
LizardHead

That's because there's a lot of different ways to make an omlette.

Heya

If you want to analyze it yourself, fi****ch has a recipe analzyer at their
site -
http://www.fi****ch.com/database/analyzer.php

It hits on the USDA database for nutritional values, it's a wee bit slow,
and until you get familiar with how the database is laid out it's
frustrating .. But by persevering, you can analyze any recipe you want for
the counts you need .. Long as it's 12 ingredients or less ..

My homemade 3 egg cheese omelet works out to about 3 carbs. I would expect a
restaurant cheese omelet to be about the same but adding ham presents a problem.
It would depend on the type of ham used because ham often has quite a bit of
sugar from the curing process.

You would expect it to be, but you might be wrong. Ask your server to
ask the cook if there are any additives like pancake batter added to
the omelette. (It enhances the fluff and texture of the eggs.) Don't
rely on the server's word without checking. IHOP does this. I'm sure
others do too.

Thank you... I did not know about the sugar in ham.
I was staying away from sausage, per the Book, due
to nitrates? and bacon as well.. Thought ham would be surely
a safe way to go... Maybe turkey?? that would be interesting
a Turkey and Cheese omelette...
Hmmm. I'd have to put tabasco sauce on it though.

Thank you everyone,
I'm grateful.
