Default Atkins Diet - HELP - Vitamins / Supplements

Help!!!

I would like to get advise on the best vitamins / supplements to take on the
Atkins Diet.

Currently I am taking the following every morning:

- 2 Metabolife Tablets
- 2 GNC Mega Men Tablets
- 1 Chromium Picolinate Tablet
- 1 Allegra Tablet (for my Allergies - from my doctor)
- 1 One-A-Day Weight Smart Tablet

With pretty much the same combo shown above, I've lost 80 lbs in the past 1
year, but I seemed to have come to a plateau. I still have another 30-40
lbs to go.

Should I change my supplements and switch to the Atkins ones?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Robert

you can if you want to, but it's highly unlikely that it's going to
affect your weight loss one way or the other. atkins' vitamins aren't
magic or anything; there's nothing in them that you can't get in other
vitamins.

Well, am I taking the right "mix" of vitamins?

I just want to make sure that what I'm taking isn't HURTING my weight loss.

Thanks.

Good grief. Stop taking them. Things get worse, start taking them
again, things get better, don't take them, things stay the same, it
doesn't matter. Jeez, think for yourself.

i don't know if it's the right mix or not. it's not what i take, but
i'm not you. if you've lost 80 lbs using them, then there's probably no
reason to change it. some people lose weight without taking any
vitamins at all.

there are lots of reasons that folks hit plateaus, but i've never heard
of vitamins being one of them.

personally, i would look elsewhere for the reason.

These can kill. Beware.

These can cause prostate cancer.

Metabolife is a weak ephedrine-caffeine stack with a couple dozen useless
diuretic and laxative herbs mixed in, and if you have the "ephedra-free"
version, it's completely useless, as the ephedra was the only thermogenic
element in it.

Your Mega-Men tablets probably already have chromium in them, too
much chromium can be as bad as too little, with regard to blood sugar
metabolism.

I have no idea what's in the Weight Smart, but it may be duplicating
items in the Mega-Men, also. Vitamin A, Vitamin D and several minerals
can build up to toxic levels if you over-take vitamins.

In Atkins original 1970s book, before he had a supplement business, all
he recommended was a good multivitamin, extra vitamin C, B complex and
vitamin E, and if necessary, potassium for fatigue and a magnesium/calcium
combo for muscle cramping.

I went to WalMart and checked labels. I ended up getting the "Equate"
(WalMart brand) mulitvitamin. By far this was the best vitamin
combination @ highest %'s for the price. I take 1 per day, along with 1
(again Equate brand) regular aspirin. There have been no problems with
cramps, lightheaded feelings, or anything. Maybe it's not for you, but
it works for me.

I would be a little careful on the aspirin thing. there are some serious
side effects (mostly bleeding in the stomach lining) that are little
understood but seriously aggravated by aspirin. Unless directed to do so
for some specific reason, you might want to consider not doing the aspirin
thing.

my doctors advise (he's the one who told me to do atkins) was to take a
decent multivitamin and eat my veggies. according to men's health magazine
the best two multivitamins for men are "centrum silver" (doesn't matter your
age) or "one a day for men"
