Default Study: Eat "Good" Carbs for Health - Atkins alternative...

In article ,
says...

Note to Atkins dieters: "blah, blah, blah", suggests a new study
on rats.

If I was a rat I would be really interested in this. Of course if i was a
rat I wouldn't be able to read so i guess I wouldn't own a computer.

Atkins alternative

If you want to eat more carbs, become a rat.

On a serious note - does this kind of testing actually benefit humans? Last
I checked humans and rats are different. So as not to insult our rat
population, I'm not saying humans are better, we're just different.
It's apples and oranges - can I use this saying on a low carb board?? or
should I say it's fish and chicken.

Eva
not a rat

Good point but what about the person that lives on carbs and never gains a
pound? I know a million of them. Hell, I lost 55 pounds when I was 16 on an
Oatmeal-Tuna Sandwhich-Pasta diet and excercise after being obese since
birth. I'm now 49 and only gained about 15-20 pounds since but all of it is
muscle from exercise. The most important factor is, I no longer eat the
Oreo's and Ice Cream snack which are high caloric foods.

My wife lost 30 on the SB diet but all I really see is a conscious effort to
watch how much you eat, not what you eat necessarily, as she did cheat
heavily during the diet.

The point is, rat, dog, cat, Anglo, Asian, Afro-American, NA
Indian,........everyone is different. There are no hard and fast rules. None.
