Default For the ladies

I am getting close to TOM and things are getting weird.

One day i woke up and was 2.5 lbs up. No way you can just gain that
overnight!!! So i started getting suspicious. I didn't change my diet in any
big way. i went out to dinner one night and ate a piece of grilled chicken
and some shrimp that could have been marinated in something. I don't thin
kthis would do anything more than stall me a little - not send the scales
through the roof!!

Just let me know if I should relax and wait till after TOM to even look at
the scale again.

(and for you scale-haters out the Don't even reply! I don't wanna hear
it! Step away from you r keyboard!!!)

Do you mean you ate and drank nothing from evening weigh-in to morning
weigh-in?

You can easily gain 2.5 lbs in glycogen/water, but you do have to eat
and drink something to do it.

Don't worry, it's completely normal to retain water as TOM gets near. Some
months I gain over 5 lbs. Of course it doesn't help that I crave salt at
that time. Why can't I crave chocolate like any normal woman? lol

Ditto. I'm fighting that right now. Weighed in this morning at 205, up
from 203, but TOM is getting close. Just remind yourself that it IS just
water, it will come off, and exercise a little more. Exercise helps me to
get it back down, even during my TOM, and it helps alleviate my cramping and
bloating.

(I know, guys. How pleasant!)

Time of the month. A euphemism for menstruation.

TOM = Time Of Month, otherwise known as menstruation.
