I like lemonade, but haven't had it in years. I now just have water with a
little lemon added at restaurants, because the water taste like a bunch of
chemicals. Sometimes the lemons cover it up and sometimes the chemicals are
so strong that nothing can cover it up. Gotta love the water in the
states.

I read about a grapefruit diet that caused damage to a woman's skin. I'll
bet a long lemons only diet would do the same.

Why not try low carb? You are already here in the group....

Why do you suppose that your local water is typical of every single place

the U.S.? Our water is great.

Ouch... the water we have here is only filtered, not even chlorinated.
And STILL people buy these bacteria-bomb waterbottles in the stores.
WHY?

The water in our town is so full of iron (how much iron?), it'll leave rust
stains on your teeth! bodda-bing)

I thought the water in Houston was terrble. Hmm, lets see I have lived a
few places. Florida water sucks, and so does the water in Pittsburgh. New
Jersey water isn't very good, at least the places I have been, strangely NYC
water wasnt' that bad. Cali water was pretty bad to. Ohio is about the
same as where I am.

So, I will adjust my statement. Most of the water in the US sucks and it is
getting much worse. When I was a kid it was better.

Our Texas water looks like it's whitewashed the kitchen sink when it
dries on it.

Among other reasons, fluoride is a poison and it is in the water
supply. I choose to buy non fluoride water. I am eating more
vegetables now prior to low carbing, all need washing. I drink
somewhere between 100 and 200 ounces of water a day.

Do you know how much fluoride is safe to consume? I dont know and no
one else seems to be able to tell me either. Since I have health
issues that may be effected by fluoride and I dont have any dental
problems, at this time it seems the better bet to try to avoid what
fluoride I can.

Virtually every chemical in significant quantity is poisonous.
Certainly too much fluoride is unhealthy, but the quantities found in
drinking water are so miniscule they have had no effect on either
humans nor in animal testing trials with animals whos metabolism is
far more volatile and vulnerable to fluoride.

Fluoride is a heavy element, heavier than the water, so it sinks to
the bottom. Fluoride is thus only a problem with groundwater wells.
Fluoride is not added into the watersupply in my country. I don't know
about yours. If it is, and you've got a condition, then you're quite
right to be drinking unflorinated.

Are you sure? What condition do you have? There are a lot of foods
which contain far more fluoride than drinking water. You should look
into that as well. Milk for instance contains many times more fluoride
than water, and milk, of course, is used in everything from drinking
to cooking and baking.
