how to weigh food
hello,
I am new to the Atkins diet so pleas can you tell me when you weigh for example meat you do it before or after coking? Thank you |

That's why I weigh it before. the only reason i weigh stuff is if i intend to record it, and i generally record what i actually consume. if i eat something raw, that's what i weigh & record. if i eat something cooked, then *that's* what i weigh and record. six of one, half dozen of the other. or something. |

Eaton How you measure or weigh something depends on what the reference for the carbs of the particular item is. If it's listed as X carbs for 8ozs uncooked, then weight it uncooked. It it's listed as X carbs for a cup cooked, then measure it by cup cooked, etc. Meat shouldn't need to be weighed, since it has zero carbs, unless it's some processed product with added sugar, filler, etc. |
