"Cream of" Soups/Stews
I've cooked cauliflower until it was mushy, then pureed it in the food
processor until smooth. Added heavy cream and some sharp cheese. Then put in left over broccoli pieces. Made a very nice "cream of broccoli". Haven't tried other options. Also made a red wine stew with chuck, a few carrots, celery, mushrooms, onion and whole red radishes in the crockpot. Used pureed Roma tomatoes with a scoop of beef stock soup base and some splenda along with the red wine. When done the radishes have lost the red color. They look and taste like small potatoes after absorbing the other flavors. Gary |
