Pedometer reading for Thursday (Day 8)
Well I forgot to put my pedometer on before going to the gym, but I know
that I get at *least* 2000 - 3000 steps at a workout, so I added 2000 to my end-of-day reading to better reflect my actual steps for yesterday. This has been so great for me to get in the habit of doing more walking! Goal: 12,000 Actual: 15,631 Mary M 325-158-148 |

Pedometer reading for Thursday (Day 8)
Goal: 12,000
Actual: 13,318 I did go out walking at the park after it started cooling down. I walked for about an hour and it was just getting dark enough to use headlights when I got home. Also, tonight I am going out to dinner (Rock Fish) and wearing a dress that is not pedometer friendly so I may be low... I did make it to spin class this morning as usual though, so I met that part of the goal :-) I do hope that we do this again in a month or so. I have really enjoyed it! -- jmk in NC |

I was in heaven it was so good. Does anyone remember the name of the cartoon dog who would hug himself, oohing in ectasy and end up levitating and floating gently back to the ground after getting a special snack? I was like that. Tomorrow we have the 4th on Broadway parade and street festival here. It's the largest free festival in Texas. It's a mile long stretch of street (both sides) with vendor booths, bandstands and various other activities that goes on almost all day after the parade which is usually 1-1/2 to 2 hours long. I'm going to wrack up a lot of steps because we usually go up and down the whole mile at least 3 times. That stretch of street is home to about 5-6 churches so they're having it on Saturday because you can't cancel church in Lubbock ever. The fireworks will still be on Sunday. That'll be a lot of walking too because the porta johns are usually far, far, far away from the viewing area. Tonia |
