Me, so smug, I can't stand myself--

I joined Fitness 19 Monday, it's a bare-bones workout facitlity, chock
full of cardio and weight training equipment.
I went for the first time yesterday, at 5:30 am I was on the tredmill, and
today, I stopped after work and did ten minutes on the tredmill, fiftten on
the eliptical and six miles on the bike. I'm rather intimidated by the
high-tech of this equipment, and I have yet to approach the weight training
equipment, I want to get someone to show me how to use them, as most look
like midevil torture devices. I am, however, quite proud of myself for
getting off the couch and getting MOVING. Sweet.

Thanks. It seems slow to me (four and a half months), as this is the
slowest I've ever lost (six years ago, I lost 65 pounds in three
months)--but also the only time I've done it without starving, puking, pills
AND obsessive calisthentics.

Don't overdo it, I'd say (but I'm an old fart after back surgery)

I'm no pup, myself (52) but, despite the abuse I've put my body through
in my life, I'm in relatively good health, no physical problems (except
noisy knees), no BP or sugar problems, etc. I'm lucky--this is the third
time in seventeen years I've "dieted" and had to lose 50+ pounds, and with
all the ways I've abused my body, it's amazing I haven't done some
irreputable harm.

You family, doctor, etc., must be thrilled at your progress!

Actually, my doctor was rather condescending at my January visit, which
kinda ****ed me off. **I'm** pleased with my progress and I FEEL great.
I'm finding this list a tremendous help and support.

The best is yet to be

xxgizziexxx -- terrific accomplishments!

Jeez --

Maybe your doc had a bad day, but she/he should have been incredibly
impressed over your accomplishments!

How many people would be ecstatic with what you've done once, much
less three times? (Answer -- lots plus lots plus...)

You have a lot to teach people and a hell of a lot of techniques that
have worked for you! Everything else is sound.

Keep at it! YOU are doing GREAT!!!

Yours truly,

Caleb
