I was originally going to wait until I got to goal, but I decided it
would make better motivation as a done deal than it would as a reward.
Besides, I did it for my own enjoyment so I don't really care that my
belly's not that flash to look at.

Cool. I like celtic designs.

I had wanted a dragon or castle, but having been tattoo'd,
I'm reconsidering a large shaded piece. I don't think I'm up for it!

LOL.

As for
your question does it hurt, well, that depends on the type (shaded or
outline or colors) the body part (over bone or tendons hurts more) and your
personal pain threshold. I have a pretty high tolerance for pain, but when
she did the part across the underside of my wrist, it hurt alot!!

I want a small tattoo on my lower back, just under my waist. I want it
to be somewhere that can be shown off or covered, depending on the
situation.

The last time I got blood tests was the best time in about a hundred or so
blood draws, it was only a thirty minute process and they only used one
gauss pad to stop the bleeding and the bruise was only the size of a us
fifty cent peice. And I thanked the guy for not being so brutal, Lee,
wanting no extra holes

Nah, it didn't hurt much at all. No worse than blood tests.

Are you going to post pics of that belly button for
us?

When I can get my hubby to take pics I'll get him to put them up on my
website. Hopefully he'll take them today, no saying when he'll get
around to posting them though.

I've thought about it a few times, but not much point, even at my goal
weight my belly wouldn't be worth showing off! Maybe I'll add another

set
to my ears!

My belly will never really be worthy of showing off, but I don't care.
I did it for myself really. And even now, it doesn't look too bad in
hipsters.

I guess it comes down to the same thing we say about eating, you must do
what works for you, and I just decided motivation is the same thing, Lee,
really cringing at Ray

What a great motivator

I had a tattoo done on my upper arm a few months ago and that was
great movation to get fit enough to make it look good.

Make sure you look after it. Theres info at rec.art.bodyarts on how to
care for piercings properly. Beware though they are about as friendly
as the folk on misc.fitness.weights

I'm extremely ticklish right there, so there is no way I could get a tat on
my lower back! Besides, then *I'd* never get to see it. ;-)

I've had too many blood tests and injections to worry about that, and DH
is a type 1 diabetic. It ain't the needles, it really IS the holes, for
me!

It sounds like you enjoy blood work as much as my DH. With all the
surgeries and needles he's had in the last 6 months he should be used to it
by now, but he still has to lie down at the lab to have his blood drawn or
he'll faint!
