Default I lost 150lbs..

Just cutting calories isn't the answer and actually works against
losing fat. The body will just adapt to the lower calorie amount within
a few days. Improving the composition of the food you eat and how the
different macronutrients are combined will yield a better body
composition than just cutting calories and eating less.

Default I lost 150lbs..

Actually, Louis, you are quite right. The thing is, most of us eat way
too many calories to begin with, so we do need to eat fewer than we do,
just no too few.

I have found that it takes a combination of exercise and reduced
calories for me to lose weight. I had to seriously build muscle before
I could burn more calories than I ate. My muscles were so under
developed I could have gained weight on water and celery.

On the other hand, if I exercise and then eat too many calories, I
still don't lose weight.
