Is my DH's birthday. I want to celebrate.. but I don't want to get either of
us too far off track..

And this weekend is our anniversary...

To make matters more difficult, he can't do much because of his back
injury..

Poor baby..

Remember the spiced barley pilaf that was so good? Why don't you do
Indian food? Dessert can be fresh berries with perhaps individual
servings of cake. I bought lemon bars from a wonderful bakery when we
celebrated DH's birthday. I didn't want to ignore it but knew he didn't
want a huge cake.

I thought about that, but we had indian 3 days in a row.. so I think we'll
eat out.

Actually, my loyal and wonderful receptionist had a great idea! there's a
steak house close to our meeting place that is supposed to be wonderful. I
can easily eat core in a steak house, and we never go to places like that
(we always do ethnic foods).

My "midwest boy" husband will be just too happy to eat there!

I've also found a breakfast place very close to home that opens at 6 am,
serves biscuit and gravy (his favorite stuff) and have some very
healthy/yummy looking omelets.

With all that I'm planning on angel food mini cakes with roasted pineapple
pieces and FF cool whip for dessert tomorrow night.

All in all it will work..

Thanks for the idea though. At this point we eat... oh... 85% indian at
home..

Audrey,

I decided to cook, so gave my husband open choice, anything he wants...

Indian chicken curry...

LOL I swear he's gonna poop turmeric for the rest of his life!
