nyny back down a bit
Managed about a 15 mile bike ride - my battery can undone in the bike
computer so I will have to check the route against a map. It was a free-form in town bike ride with some errands and some just plain scenic meanders. It was very pleasant with quite a bit of sun in broken cloud but quite chilly near the end. So the ginger bread house will have his "childish" attention till something else grabs it, huh (G) Is the gingerbread edible or it is "engineered" for constructing houses? On Sat, 6 Dec 2003 09:14:13 -0800, "Brenda Hammond" wrote: Hope you have better weather there today and that bit of sun stays for the day at least. We are getting nothing but wind and rain here. I'm looking south and see what you mean by the sun attempting a return. It looks much nicer your way than it is here! The power came back on at my parents around 9:00 last night, so they were only out for 3 hours. I can remember as a kid the power sometimes being off for a week or more (my parents still live in the same house). Here's hoping that weather holds out long enough for you to rake the leaves and get in a bike ride. We're doing the grocery shopping, a few Christmas presents and assembling a gingerbread house at some point today (it's the most important thing in Nicholas' life at the moment and probably for the first half hour of putting it together!). |

We had rain all day, still coming down now too. Looks like its with us at least until tomorrow. It was very pleasant with quite a bit of sun in broken cloud but quite chilly near the end. So the ginger bread house will have his "childish" attention till something else grabs it, huh (G) Is the gingerbread edible or it is "engineered" for constructing houses? Well, it was a success! The house looks great too! It actually kept his interest the whole time we were building it. He was busy putting icing on the candies and eating them, then sticking the odd candy onto the house here and there. Needless to say by the time we were done, he was super sticky and covered with different colors from the coatings on some of the candy. It was fun!! The gingerbread was a kit, but it was edible, good too, we had to try a little bite of the snowmen that we decided not to put up with the house.
