My tracker says down 1.6 but the official WW says down 0.2 from the week
before christmas. Not the greatest progress but I'll take it. Scale was
actually UP 2+ Sunday morning after getting home from a week in Florida. I'm
still 2.4 UP from Thanksgiving but the fact that I was able to recover from
Christmas vacation gives me hope. Cutting back to 20 points per day has also
helped.

This week's goal is to add some more exercise into the mix. I already go to
water aerobics 3x a week but it is not enough. Our health club is having an
Open house weekend. Today DD and I did an intro Yoga class and tomorrow we
are attending an intro step class. Oh, and she went to ww meeting this
morning. Maybe there is hope for her yet. She needs to lose about 50 pounds
herself. I'd be happy if she lost 25 at this point. One step at a time. I
also bought the WW walking DVD and set up the portable DVD player in the
bedroom. We'll see how things go this week.

Hope everyone has a good week.

any loss during this time of year is a total win, and the fact that DD is
interested in exercise is enough, if she tomes up and gets to looking better
it will motivate her, good for both of you, and being a role model is the
best gift for any child, no matter their age, Lee

Thanks Lee. She even told me to buy some celery and dressing for her
lunches. Another step in the right direction. I gave her all of my old WW
materials including a complete getting started book. Not the current one but
the previous program. It gives her something to look at. I suggested that
she start journaling her foods for 2 weeks and then we'll review it. We
bought some 2 point bars for her to have for breakfast. She's not a
breakfast person so this is a step in the right direction. baby steps, for
sure.

tell her that my DH does not do WW but has lost at leas 20 of the weight he
has lost just by eating breakfast, I know that sounds weird but the first
thing he changed was eating breakfast, no other changes and he began losing
almost immediately. I am a firm believer in baby steps. It has helped me
to lose weight and do a major bit of decluttering of my house as well. Lee

That's amazing. He probably is not overeating at lunch time as well as
stablizing his blood sugar levels. I wish I could get my DH to do that. He
seems to be fighting the whole "weight loss" thing these days and is driving
me nuts. It's not helping me keep focused either.

My next task is to get her off of sugared drinks-soda and mocha lattes from
dunkin donuts. She used to drink water most of the time but lately she's
been drinking Ice tea, colas and lattes and other bottled cappachinos. Lots
of sugar and empty calories. I think if I can just make her aware of the
empty calories she might change her ways a bit.

I think that he eats less over all by eating breakfast and I think it does
make the metabolism start working earlier. Lee
