Default delurk and intro

Hello. Thought I would step up and introduce myself. I'm 36, wife of a
happy husband, mom of two girls.
I started my weightloss effort May 2004. The doctor's scale said 191, but
my jeans had already told me I had reached maximum density. My highest
weight, since having the girls, had been 230.
My plan since May has been to eat the freshest, most nutrient dense, least
processed foods I can afford, and weigh & watch my portion sizes. My new
WOE is "Low/No Crap". For me, my success has been due to the support of my
ever loving hubby. When I presented the plan to him, and told him it would
be easier for me if I could just pull all the junk out of the house, he said
"go for it"! He was right there beside me explaining to the kids why this
was going to be better/healthier for the whole family, and encouraged them
to get on board. (the youngest, 11, did take about 3 months to get over not
having her white bread anymore).
I couldn't have come this far with out him.
So my stats are 36yo F 5'8" current weight 149.5
my next goal is 145, but I would like to get to wedding weight of 137, and
after 16 years this is the first time it has seemed possible. I have
started a running program, and I am in week 3 of that. I am able to run for
20 minutes straight, no stopping.
One reason for my delurk is I've been at the 150 mark for almost 4 weeks now
and I kindof feel stuck, I'm hopeful the running will kick start that, plus
I've wanted to be part of the discussions. And to let you all know you have
been an encouragement to me while I read this group in lurk mode, thank you.

Hubby's lost 25 pounds and DD#1 lost 15 with just the change in foods

Hi a.t., glad to not be the only newbie on this board, though everyone has
been very nice and helpful.

Hi Trixie.

I'm glad you decided to delurk and participate. You have already done
amazing things - losing weight and getting your family to eat right too.
Congratulations!

Something I've just started to change up my exercise program is to start
doing intervals on my treadmill. There's no reason you can't do it
wherever you run. Here's the link to the page where Krista addresses

Keep a positive attitude and don't give up. The Whoosh Fairy will visit
you - I promise s

Thanks for the link, it's been added to my 'health and fitness' folder. I
have a variety of flat places and hills of all sorts of inclines to give
this a try here in my neighborhood.
I've got to start slow since, in the past,I have had an inclination to give
up when it gets too hard. But I'm making new choices and decisions this
time around. I've been greatly encouraged since I've seen different
consequences this time around.

Gonna put my baggy jeans under my pillow to make the woosh fairy visit, LOL
