Faith in WHAT may I ask? In a loving and merciful God who wipes out
eight innocent people in the most horrific way possible? Methinks
faith in that God would be sadly misplaced.

I've always believed that "world peace" begins in each individual's heart.
To be more at peace with yourself is to allow more peace into the world. You
matter too, you know.

Peace...

Yes, Heidi, I agree with you... as the old song goes... "Let peace
begin with me, let this be the moment - now".

The problem is - how do you teach this philosophy to the
chest-beating, bible-thumping 18-20 year olds who think that they are
personally responsible to seek revenge for the people who were killed
on September 11? How do you make them see that when you fight hate
with more hate that HATE always wins? How do you teach people like
that to (as their Bible says), "love thy enemy?"
