Default 2005 Resolutions Update

At the beginning of the year many of us posted our resolutions for this
year. I thought I would post my update....haven't seen one in a couple
months. I've condensed the wording a little.

Weight: Continue WW-at-work and reach goal of 140.
I haven't signed up for any future sessions but I'm still at the 142
mark.

Biking:
Ride 2000 miles - I'm closing in on 1,000 for the year but doubt I'll
reach 2000.

Ride a century - I'm still planning on giving this a try. I'm just
waiting for cooler
weather.

Continue to participate in the volunteer bike patrol for parks - Still
doing this!

Participate in one on-road-road sponsored ride - I did this over the
weekend. I had hoped to do a metric century (62 miles) but the
temps were hovering in the mid 90's and the heat index was 104+.
Many people, including myself, shortened their mileage. I stopped at 40
miles....just too d*mn hot and not much shade on the route.

Exercise:
Non-biking months - 3x week with one day at gym. I didn't always get to
the gym but
I was usually on track for this at the beginning of the year.

Biking months - 2x week with one day at gym. I've been getting this one
done except
for the weeks I've had sinus infections. I haven't been able to force
myself indoors
so most has been at home or outdoors - no gym at all.

Misc:
Pack healthy lunches for work - I seldom miss this one.

Eat more evening meals at home. My goal was 2-3 days at home and I've
been closer
to 3-4 days a week.

I'd still like to get in the 135-140 range but will probably wait until
after biking season.

That is great news, Beverly! Keep up the good work! I know you'll be able to
bike that century next year!

Thanks Matty. I'm still hoping to conquer the century this fall. If I
don't make the 100 I'm going to at least do a metric century (62 miles).
