unripe fruits have same carbs?
Hi Folks,
I wonder if fruits that are NOT ripe yet (usually very sour) have any sugar. How about normal carbs? When I was young I used to eat green plums and green grapes waaaaay before they are near ready. So they taste as sour as a lemon. Do they have sugar at that stage? I havn't seen a study on such products. Unripe fruits fill the markets in the Mediteranean region around March or April. People add salt to the fruit to reach a nice taste. I love it and have a big yard full of fruits that I am unable to touch being in Ketosis and doing great so far Thanks, J. |

I'd assume that unripe fruits have fewer sugars, like fructose, so I think they have fewer carbs, but I don't know. I also used to like to get green apples before they were ripe. -- Bob in CT Remove ".x" to reply |
