Okay, so I got a pair of dumb bells
I guess we are in this one together beeswing. I drug my old 6 lb
dumbells out from under the bed when Chris posted that initial response to the OP. Good Luck! (Don't hurt anything lol, I'll try not to hurt myself either lol) Susan 260/219/160 --- 3weeks 1days 3:31hours of being smoke-free, 883 cigs not smoked, $163.36 saved, 3day 1:35hours of my life saved "Beeswing" wrote in message ... I really appreciate all the wonderful ideas and links folks gave me with regard to where to find out "what to do with a 5-pound dumb bell and a figure 8 resistance band thingy." I'll be spending a fair amount of time over the next several days looking over the ideas and sites you all suggested. Thanks, Barbara, Chris, Chupacabra, Jennifer, Susan, Cat, and Patricia for your comments and ideas. (Cat, I will endeavor not to drop the dumb bells on my feet.) By the way, I also have some old 2-pound hand weights, so if I need to really ease into some of this stuff (and I imagine I might), I'm ready for that, too. I'm such a baby. beeswing |

For starters you want to work biceps, triceps, and shoulders. You can also work obliques with dumbbells. You can do abs with plates, but I've never seen it done with a dumbbell. That's because you are clueless when it comes to training. Stick with trying and failing to get that huge lump of fat off your husband. |
