Hi folks!

Looks like a really good, supportive group we have here.

I am, unfortunately, a lapsed Weight Watcher. I lost about 40 pounds last
year to fit into the wedding gown, then got married, and went PFFFFT.
Haven't been able to get back to going to the gym consistently, haven't been
journaling or really paying attention to points, and have
been...er...supplementing my fairly healthy brought-from-home lunches with
unhealthy soups and brownies from the Treats shop in my new office building.
*sigh* The stupid shop is just too handy, I think the only solution is to
not to bring money with me to work.

In short, I've put on about 20 pounds since my September wedding. The only
good habits I managed to keep were drinking gallons of water, and taking my
coffee with milk instead of cream. How discouraging, after how hard I worked
to get the weight off in the first place.

But anyhow, today is a new day! I've stayed in my point range, went to the
gym, and basically been good all day! Yay me!

I look forward to hearing about your successes, and learning some new
low-point recipes to kick-start my program. I've recently discovered a corn
chowder one if anyone likes that sort of thing. It makes about four servings
at five points per serving, and involves skim milk, skim milk powder, etc.

KD

PS - I haven't gone to meetings since last year..what is a flex point
anyhow? That's new since I was there.

KD:

Congrats for coming back!! Are you going to the meetings or are you
going from your old books? Either is great!! Flex points are set up so
that you have a set number of points a day and then a weekly allotment
of 35 flex points. Post here lots!!

Welcome! Quite a few of us are lapsed returnees, so you are not alone!
As I'm
in the UK, the flex point system is a mystery to me too. We just have a
set
number of points, and can earn more for exercise.

It sounds like you are on the right track with the points and the water:
flex
points or whatever don't really matter - just use what works for you!
If you
can get to meetings, they will be successful as they were before, and
you will
learn about the

HI KD and welcome back. I can relate to your plight. 23 years ago when I
walked down the isle, I was 135. For one day!!!!!
All the honeymoon and playing house with cooking etc packed the weight on
quickly. Hang in there and you will have it off in no time.
As for the flex point, you will love them. I was a product of the food
exchanges and it was hard to make the change at first. It is great to have
the flexablity to have high point meals and not feel you have derailed
completely.
Goood luck and welcome back.

Hi KD,

I posted under the same title a few days ago (Starting Over) and am right
there with you! Good luck getting back on program. I have posted pictures
of myself when I was 8 pounds away from goal on my fridge, and that has kept
me OP for the last few days... At least you're halfway there this time!

Good luck!
Meg
