? for Determined and other skiers...
I had an awesome skiing day last Saturday. I take the Bay Area Ski Bus up
for the day, which includes my lift ticket, breakfast and a stop for dinner. The snow was perfect and I got a day's worth of great skiing in. Anyway, my question is....what do you fellow skiers do for lunch? I'm sick to death of energy bars and they don't fill me up enough. I'm thinking, should I pack a couple cheese sandwiches along with my orange and the dreaded energy bar? The lunch counters are ghastly and way too expensive. Any suggestions? I'm not a skier - not much snow or skiing available to Floridians... But
wouldn't you treat this similar to hiking or any other outdoor type event? the ski places I've been to - the parking is close to the lodge, so stowing a cooler is pretty easy. is it possible to bring a cooler with you on the bus and keep it on the bus? Otherwise, pack a lunch - sandwich, whatever fits into your woe, and bring it in a single size colapsable cooler. Or hot soup in a thermos. Depends on your usual woe. If it were me, i'd probably bring a chicken sandwich and some soup and snacks. "MH" wrote in message ... Ideas...anyone???? "MH" wrote in message ... I had an awesome skiing day last Saturday. I can stow it in one of the lockers. Thanks, Jayjay!!! : D Soup and a sandwich, perfect. -- Martha "Who would win in a fight, a Lord of the Rings fan or a Star Wars fan?" - Conan O'Brian |

If I'm planning on being on the mountain for several hours, I make sure I eat a hearty breakfast, and I pack a lunch - typical lunch stuff. Either leftovers or a sandwich. I also pack energy food like nuts. The lodge has food, but it's usually not very good. They just build a Subway a few miles from the lodge, so sometimes on my way home I grab a sandwich. det |
