Congratulations, ig. I may not always agree with you, but your success is
an undeniable inspiration.

Congratulations, Ig. Keeping the weight off for a year is a big deal, so
pat on the back!

I'm just going to check your web site...

I
ate same portions every day.

I'm curious - does that mean that you eat the same food every day, or the
same portion sizes every day?

My blood pressure after the switch is now lower by about 5-7 points,
from 125/75 to about 118/75.

My second and concurrent speculation is that now,
my blood sugar is rock solid stable, and in fact relatively low
(70-80, rarely 90).

That is great, but just one thing - will you check your cholesterol levels?
A good idea would be to get a medical check up, at least some blood work
done. If anything else, it will probably comfirm you're doing fine!

My hypothesis (speculation) is that I am insulin
resistant, eating carbs makes me overproduce insulin, and gain
weight.

This is the case with me. Less unhealthy carbs - less weight, even if I eat
more fat. It took me several years to figure that out. Actually, I haven't
figured that out until I got some help from my GP (who became a registered
nutritionist in the meantime), who knew my medical history, and based on
that suggested this approach to me. This is why I think (hope) that going
with the same approach as I did the last time around will be helpful (it
wasn't his fault that I wasn't paying attention to his advices after I gave
birth, after all - that's all mea culpa ;-)

I am now more optimistic than at start of my weight maintenance and
think that I will have a few years of normal weight, at least.

I'm wishing you many, many years of normal weight!
