At this rate, those bike shorts will look great this year! Are you drinking
tons of water? Are you hungry on this plan?

"Beverly"

Breakfast and snack: 1 protein, 1 carb, 1 fruit, 1 low-cal dairy
Lunch and snack: 1 protein, 2 vegetables, 1 fruit, 1 low-cal dairy
Dinner: 1 protein, 2 vegetables, 1 fat
This comes out to 1100-1300 calories daily depending on the foods
chosen.

Now this isn't too far from my normal woe. I would have had a couple more
carbs and another fat with the occasional dessert on the weekends . With
these minor changes I've lost 2 pounds in the last week! I plan on
sticking with this for another week and see what happens. Hopefully I can
continue with 1-2 pounds a week until I reach my mini-goal. At that time

I
may go back to my original woe and maintain for awhile.

I've been hanging around the 149.5 mark for quite awhile. I certainly have
a handle on what I'll need to do when I reach my final goal. At the moment
I'm not sure what the final goal will be but I'm shooting for 140 at the
present. We'll see what the BF% is when I get there. I'm sure I'll have
to go a little lower but at least age is an advantage when it comes to
BF....they allow us older women a little moreg

Last week I decided it was time to shake things up a little and get back in
weight loss mode. Summer is coming and I want those bike pants to look as
good as possibleG My eating habits haven't been terrible but I was
letting additional calories sneak in on a daily basis and this stopped the
loss. I dug out the many weight loss books I have and devised the
following plan - it's based on the Dr. Phil 14 day start program.

Breakfast and snack: 1 protein, 1 carb, 1 fruit, 1 low-cal dairy
Lunch and snack: 1 protein, 2 vegetables, 1 fruit, 1 low-cal dairy
Dinner: 1 protein, 2 vegetables, 1 fat
This comes out to 1100-1300 calories daily depending on the foods
chosen.

I have to remind myself to drink more water.

I really haven't been hungry. The first couple of days I did add a small
evening snack but I think that was more a habit then actual hunger. One
evening I had some celery with cream cheese and the other was one Wasa
cracker with cream cheese. Both of these seemed to satisfy the muchines.

Beverly - going to fill her water bottle now!

Congratulations Beverly. Your grandkids will be greatly impressed.

Thanks I. My grandkids think they have a pretty cool grandmag

I told them they need to get their bikes out and ready for the biking
season. I don't know whether we'll do our usual bike trip to the amusement
park this year as I'm taking them to Dollywood near the Smokies this
summer. I doubt there will be any bike riding there but we plan on hitting
the water park a couple of days. I'm sure we'll get in some other local
rides.

The youngest one (18 mo) keeps checking on her bike trailer in the garage
each time she visits....think I have another biker in her.

Thanks. Those bike pants show every little bit of fat. I always wear a
longer top with mine since my weight is all around the middle. I've
certainly seen some people on the trails who should have been wearing a
little longer top, toog

WTG Bev! You'll be looking good in those shorts in no time - though I
suspect you probably look pretty good in them now

Good for you Beverly!

I think it's cool that when we want to shake up the status quo we have so
many resources at our disposal. Making little changes can work wonders.

I'm 5 weeks from my own vacation and intent on doing the best I possibly
can in that time. Deadlines work well for me and today it looks very
Spring-like outside. Out to walk!! s

You are very young at heart, its hard to remember that you are a
grandma... :-)

I'm a great-grandma A step-granddaughter (from son's first marriage)
has two little girls who call me grandma. The step-granddaughter came into
the family when she was 4 and even after my son and her mother divorced
I've always thought of her as a granddaughter. We're still very close and
she often calls me when she can't deal with her motherg
