Now this isn't too far from my normal woe. I would have had a couple

more
carbs and another fat with the occasional dessert on the weekends .

With
these minor changes I've lost 2 pounds in the last week! I plan on
sticking with this for another week and see what happens. Hopefully I

can
continue with 1-2 pounds a week until I reach my mini-goal. At that

time
I
may go back to my original woe and maintain for awhile.

WTG Bev! You'll be looking good in those shorts in no time - though I
suspect you probably look pretty good in them now

Jenn

Thanks Jenn.

I've always carried my extra weight around the middle so a long shirt hides
a multitude of flawsg I'm one of those who have no waist - most shirts
are worn out.

Good for you Beverly!

I think it's cool that when we want to shake up the status quo we have so
many resources at our disposal. Making little changes can work wonders.

I'm 5 weeks from my own vacation and intent on doing the best I possibly
can in that time. Deadlines work well for me and today it looks very
Spring-like outside. Out to walk!! s

Thanks.

I knew it could be done if I just buckled down and put a string of 'good
days' together. The toughest thing to give up has been the afternoon
popcorn. But after a week I'm really satisfied with the low-cal yogurt
instead of the popcorn. Carbs are my downfall. I could live on bread,
popcorn, etc but I know they stall my weight loss and it's so easy to go
over my daily caloric allowance with them.

Enjoy that walk. We're finally beginning to get some spring-like weather
here, too. It was below freezing earlier this week but it's supposed to be
in the 60's the rest of the week. I'm going to be getting those bikes out
and ready for the season. I need mine to start the bike patrol training
April 3.

Good for you Beverly. I think there's something about spring being
in the air that helps to get us focused

Last week I decided it was time to shake things up a little and get back in
weight loss mode. Summer is coming and I want those bike pants to look as
good as possibleG My eating habits haven't been terrible but I was
letting additional calories sneak in on a daily basis and this stopped the
loss. I dug out the many weight loss books I have and devised the
following plan - it's based on the Dr. Phil 14 day start program.

Breakfast and snack: 1 protein, 1 carb, 1 fruit, 1 low-cal dairy
Lunch and snack: 1 protein, 2 vegetables, 1 fruit, 1 low-cal dairy
Dinner: 1 protein, 2 vegetables, 1 fat
This comes out to 1100-1300 calories daily depending on the foods
chosen.

I think you're right. Maybe it's because we're approaching the season
where we can't wear bulky sweaters to hide our body flawsg

Today it's actually beginning to feel like spring around here. We had
temps below freezing most of last week and early this week. Hopefully the
freezing temps are over.

We're supposed to hit the 50's tomorrow (rain & t-storms) and Friday
(sunshine). I'm going to run outdoors in shorts on Friday and blind
everyone with my stark white legs.

Tan in a bottleg I used this to tone down the brightness on my legs
before I went to Florida. Now if I could just find something to cover up
those spider veins on my legs. I'm seriously considering having laser
treatments to get rid of a few.

Thanks Paul.

I was beginning to think I would never get lower than 149.5. I think the
upcoming bike season and those biking pants were enough to convince me I
needed to drop the last few poundsg
