Of course, we knew that, but thanks for proving it. I hope that it's something more professional than an ability to find a book written by someone whose connection to reality can be seriously questioned. What chronology of events or data in Griffin's book do you contest, and why have you not offered to substantiate your opinion? PeterB |

"What chronology of events or data in Griffin's book do you contest, and
why have you not offered to substantiate your opinion?" In the 30 years since his book the evidence presented by those in support of this most famous poster child for "alternative drugs" ever was labeled by you as "inept", with which we all concur. In those same 30 years since that book using accepted scientific research methods trials using that most famous poster child for "alternative drugs" failed to show it did anything to cancer at all, nada, nothing. The chronology in his book was his sequence of excuses for why no evidence was available and about how the evil "them" were trying to keep the cure for cancer from the public. The sequence of events in the 30 years since his book disprove both, no evidence from supporters survives a look and real science could not confirm. And, did we mention the toxic poisening that occured with use of the most famous poster child of the "alternative drugs" in all of history? |

You are the one who spends all of his time on usenet evading questions. So why didn't you answer my challenge with data on the efficacy and safety of 35 drugs (or at least 1/2 the list as I generously offered)? Don't tell me. You have no background in pharmaceutical science, received your TEVA award for *not* representing the interests of industry, and don't define ADEs as a disease response. You sound like every other pharmboy on Usenet. : You have not one iota of evidence in support of your : own position on Laetrile. Of course, we knew that, but thanks for : proving it. I posted evidence in support of my position. Your unwillingness to read it (or inability to understand it -- take your choice) is your problem, not mine. I recall that the evidence in support of Laetrile was not conflicted by gross distortions of the facts, such that NCI's own Dr. Burk went to bat for it, based largely (but not soley) on the work of Dr. Sugiara, whose research demonstrated positive results in animal systems repeatedly. With FDA's own retraction that it had ever issued an IND to the McNaughton Foundation (which it clearly had done before pulling it back), and the conflicted reports out of Sloan Kettering in an effort at damage control against a backdrop of leaks regarding Sugiara's results, I can hardly do more than note that you provided the "evidence" available to you. Unfortunately, the quality of that evidence is highly suspect. : I hope that it's : something more professional than an ability to find a book written by : someone whose connection to reality can be seriously questioned. : : What chronology of events or data in Griffin's book do you contest, and : why have you not offered to substantiate your opinion? So, where do you get your "facts" on the study of laetrile? Is it so difficult to provide a reference or source?
