Ever wonder how many miles you walk at theme parks?

Yesterday I spent the day with family at Busch Gardens. Rode every
rollarcoaster possible and walked all day long.

Thanks to the post about the pedometer challenge which I happened to glance
on while checking my email in the morning, I grabbed my pedometer and set
off for the day.

Results:

over 22,000 steps
over 8.5 miles

Wow! That's great. Hope you had fun on those roller coasters. The older I
got the less fun those things became. I finally quit riding them a few
years ago. I still like the fast rides but I don't do the "big drop"
anymoreg

I'm thinking about changing my plans for the annual jaunt to Florida for the
wresting tournaments next year. I may drive, bring daughter with me, only
attend the wresting finals on Saturday and spend a few days doing some bike
riding. I'll be in Lakeland. Any good bike trails in your area?

the newest ride: 200 feet up - 90 straight down! speeds in excess of
70mph. they suspend you hanging face down for a fewseconds before dropping
too - for the drama. Got front row seats. A total thrill! And since it
had just opened, no wait to get on the ride.

I'm a bit of a drive from Lakeland, but I'll see what I can dig up and
contact you offline with info. There are a few good biking websites for
riding that area. Tampa area has a great rail to trail thing. We do too
down here - about 15 miles of trails so far that go along the waterfront.
Dally rode part of it with me a few months ago.

IIRC it's the Pinella Trail in the Tampa area. I plan on riding part of it.
The waterfront trail in your area sounds great. If you have a website to it
send it, too.
