Default Trader Joe's low-carb foods

I will be able to go to Trader Joe's store in Bethesda, Maryland next
week.

Could readers of this newsgroup please tell me what low-carb foods you
can purchase at your local Trader Joe's so I will know what to look for
at this store? What are you buying there that you like the best?

Thanks,

Barbara

At the one I shop at I find:
(some of these things I haven't tried yet)
Almond meal
ground flaxseed
mascarpone cheese
nut assortment at good prices
unsweetened shredded coconut
low carb pasta (don't remember the brand but the one discussed here
recently)
almond butter
unsweetened yogurt made with whole milk
lots of cheese
Trader Joe's brand (I only subtract fiber for net carbs) -
Chunky Salsa (lower in carbs than most 1 carb per 2 T)
Curry Simmer sauce (8 net carbs in 1/2 cup)
Punjab spinach sauce (4 net carbs in 1/2 cup)
Soy & flaxseed Tortilla Chips (very good, 8 net carbs per ounce)
I also saw Nacho flavored chips but I haven't tried them
Diet Hansen's sodas

Even the different Trader Joe's stores in my area carry different
things from each other, so I think YMMV, of course.

That being said, I like the Hi-Lo cereal - 12 carbs with 5 of fiber
per 1/2 cup. Much cheaper than keto crispies or other Keto cereals.

I also buy their almond and peanut butters

Some of them have O-solo low carb rolls and other low-carb breads

Their French Onion Soup (frozen with cheese and crouton on top) is 14
carbs with 2 fiber per serving. I love this and it fits easily into my
plan. It's also vegetarian, as my sister discovered.

They have great frozen pre-seasoned rack of lamb and also great frozen
fish. I bought some albacore tuna patties that I haven't tried yet.

They are the most inexpensive for my favorite bevarage (Smar****er by
glaceau) at $0.89 rather than $1.59 at Dominicks/Safeway.

They also have Atkins bars and shakes, if you buy those things.

Default Trader Joe's low-carb foods

The Trader Joe's about 20 miles from my home is opening tomorrow. After
hearing about this store for five years online I am really psyched!

I hope I can find some of the great sounding foods people have mentioned,
particularly the almond flour which will let me try some of Myra's recipes
and the low carb tortillas which I have yet to find anywhere in Western
Mass. OTOH, this area is still so incredibly Low Fat, they might have
adjusted for the demographic. sigh

Oh! I am jealous! We have one opening in Hanover (eastern Mass.,
south of Boston) soon but no definite date as far as I know. I'm
really excited too - gee, that sounds a little pathetic, huh? Getting
worked up about a store opening...??? Kalish

I just bought these yesterday and they're GREAT!!! No kidding.
Crispy, crunchy and they taste like nachos! I had them with guacamole
and it seemed like I was cheating!
One ounce supposedly equals about 15 chips (but they are big
chips) and they have 9 grams carbs, less 4 fiber for 5 usable carbs.

After having tried many kinds of low carb crackers and chips
(which were awful) I can honestly say these are good. Now I'm
planning to make a taco salad with them, and am looking forward to the
crunch!!

Buff
