Ouch! That must have hurt like hell! I hope it heals quickly.

Thanks, me too.

I heard it crack. The dog came running when I yelled. Surprisingly, it
didn't swell or get very bruised looking.

Last time I went downstairs last night, I thought I'd be a cripple this
morning. Thankfully that didn't happen.

Maybe it's just jammed and not broken. I've done that too and it does make
a cracking noise when it happens. When my little toe was broken it looked
like a grape (swollen, green and purple). The big toe was also very swollen
and discolored and I couldn't move it at all. The bruising went about 1/4
the way down my foot.

I broke my toe in the bathroom last night. Kicked the trim on the door -
hurt like a you-know-what.

The good news is I can still ride my bike, do pilates and lift weights
(no lunges). I buddy taped it and it really only hurts when I go
downstairs. I can get around the house and function. But when I tried to
walk with my PM friend this noon, we had to turn back. It didn't only
hurt, my whole gait and stride was off. I'd have other problems to deal
with if I kept that up. Does anybody know how long it'll take to heal?

Thank goodness I got that bike! I rode almost 12 miles tonight, songs
blasting, sun going down. My average speed wasn't as good as it has been
but I was just happy to be out.

Oh Laurie, I'm sorry! I've done that more times that I like to think. Heal
fast, ok? : )

Martha

PS: I wear clogs around the apartment just for that reason...

I haven't broken a toe in a long time, but if I remember, it takes a
few weeks to heal.

I really only ever did that when I was competing in gymnastics as a
teenager. The coach would just tape it up and you kept going like
nothing had happened.

Course, I don't know if I'd have the same pain tolerance at 51.
