Default The suspense is killing me! :)

As those who have been following my diet progress know, I had a small weight
gain last week (0.4 kg) but was still down over the last TWO weeks.

Since Friday (it's Monday here) I've continued to slowly drop and this
morning I'm at 101.8 kg - a total loss of 23.2 kg = 51 lb over the last 27
weeks (and a few days).

I'm getting really really excited about getting near to the goal I've been
dreaming of since starting the diet - getting under 100 kg, into the 90s,
into two digits. For me, finally getting under 100 kg will be a huge major
milestone and frankly I don't care how long it takes me to reach goal after
that. Just going from three digits to two is more interesting to me than
getting under 200 lb will be (though I'm sure I'll be happy when that
happens too!)

When I started the diet back in June I was really hoping to reach this first
goal by the end of the year.

19 days left.
1.8 kg to go.

It will be really really close either way. I am thinking right now that I
will *barely* not make it by December 31, looking at my current rate of
weight loss.

But the suspense is killing me! (^_^)

This is getting exciting!

This was a fun message to read; you make it sound like a sport or
suspense novel. Keep it up, Doug. If you don't quite make it by the
end of the year, you still have until January 14th before the new year
starts according to Julian reckoning. :-) If at first you don't
succeed, change the calendar!

And if celebrations hinder the loss, aim for the Chinese New Year!

Well done so far!

1 kg = 2.2 lb.

So my current weight in lb is 101.8 * 2.2 = 224 lb.

I could be wrong, but I think Gloria is trying to go the other
direction -- to convert kilos to pounds. To do this, you multiply by
2.2. So, for example, 100 kilograms is 220 pounds -- the barrier Doug
is trying to break. (Actually, it's about 220.4 -- the factor of 2.2
isn't precise, but it's very close and pretty easy to do in one's
head.)
