Nutmeg is AWESOME in beef stroganoff (I eat it over green beans instead of
noodles)

When I do roast beef in the oven I coat it with olive oil and them roll it in
a mixture of ground black pepper, cayenne pepper, salt, nutmeg and dried
oregeno (one of the few times that dried herbs are better than fresh).

Nutmeg, black pepper & beef just seem to go togetherRobyn

Have you shared that recipe here?

Which one? The pancake recipe is the one on the Atkins Bake Mix box,
and protein shakes are just Optimum's vanilla in water, usually with
frozen strawberries. I haven't figured out a pancake recipe that
takes whey protein yet.

Oh, here's a quicky: Three eggs, 2T heavy cream, 1 packet splenda.
Beat until consistent, pour onto large electric griddle. Shape it
into a big rectangle. When it stops trying to run away, put one or
two slices of cheese on it and fold in half, cook as desired. Eat
with LC maple syrup. The egg mixture alone can be cooked like regular
pancakes too - pour into little puddles, cook, flip, etc. The cream
and splenda makes them cook up differently than eggs normally do, and
completely changes the taste.

Ohhhh, I love the smell of nutmeg! A very cozy smell, almost a comfort
"food" for me, hehe. I say sprinkle some on top of your morning coffee (if
you take cream). Mmmmm, perfect for fall.

Mmmm...yummy! Nutmeg is a very wonderful, heavenly spice.

Besides all of the other excellent suggestions in this thread, I put it on
egg, cheese, and meat dishes. As well as sprinkled on cauliflower, squash,
and most other cruciferous veggies... Enjoy!

Later all,
DustyB

Excellent suggestion, "Christine"! I had neglected consider drinks as well.

I regularly sprinkle ground nutmeg, anise, cinnamon, fennel, or cardamon
into the ground coffee in the drip basket. That way the spice infuses its
flavor. I'd suspect that cardamon and nutmeg are my favs, YMMV. Hint:
don't over do them!
